How to mint a PrideCatz NFT using Metamask wallet
This article will teach you how to setup your Metamask wallet to connect to BNB chain and mint your very own generative PrideCatz NFT artwork
PrideCatz Initial Mint Offering is now live on BNB Chain, which means anyone from the public can now go and mint their very own generative pussycat NFT artwork for the initial mint price of just 0.1 BNB per NFT. There are 2000 Generative PrideCatz available and each one is unique with its own special characteristics and personality traits. This is a first come first serve basis and the max mintage per account is 20 NFTs or 2 BNB to stop whales accumulating all the PrideCatz at once.
Before minting you must have a Metamask wallet installed and correctly setup to connected to Binance Smart chain, with sufficient BNB to pay for the minting fees.
Setting up Metamask for Binance Smart Chain (BNB Chain)
If you do not yet have Metamask wallet installed and setup to work with BNB Chain then follow these steps:
Install the Metamask Extension from the Store
Visit the browser extension marketplace and add the Metamask wallet extension to web browser.
Create a Metamask Wallet or Import One
I’d suggest creating a new one if you haven’t done so.
Click import wallet if you have an existing wallet.
Setup your password and save your 12 word secret recovery phrase somewhere safe as you will need this to recover your account in case you ever forget the password.
Setup Metamask to Connect to BNB Chain Mainnet
You might notice straight away that we’re still dealing with an Ethereum wallet. At best, this won’t work with Binance Smart Chain DApps. At worst, you could lose funds by sending them to addresses you can’t actually use.
Let’s change that. We want to access Settings to point the wallet towards Binance Smart Chain nodes.
On the Settings page, navigate to the Networks menu.
Click Add Network in the top-right corner to manually add BNB Chain (formally known as Binance Smart Chain) Mainnet. Below are the parameters to fill in for each.
Network Name: BNB Chain
New RPC URL: https://bsc-dataseed.binance.org/
ChainID: 56
Symbol: BNB
Block Explorer URL: https://bscscan.com
Once entered, you can Save the Network by clicking the “Save” button. Return to the main view and now the network should automatically be set to Binance Smart Chain, and the units are no longer denominated in ETH, but in BNB.
You have now configured your Metamask wallet to work with BNB Chain Mainnet and are ready to go mint your very first NFT.
Minting the PrideCatz NFT using Metamask
Use your web browser (with Metamask installed and correctly configured from the last step) and go to the PrideCatz Official Initial NFT Offering (INO) webpage.
Click the “CONNECT” button and confirm you wish to connect to the mint page in your Metamask wallet as well.
Now use the paw slider to select the number of PrideCatz NFTs you wish to mint, you can pick between 1–20 NFTs to mint at once. Then click the “Mint your PussyCat” button to begin the minting process.
Confirm you wish to mint the selected number of NFTs by clicking “Confirm” in the Metamask wallet window that appears on screen.
After the transaction has been confirmed on the Binance Smart Chain, you will see a pop-up window from Metamask saying the transaction has been confirmed.
